Imaging & Visualization Engineer for Medical Devices (embedded & real-time systems) Location: Bangalore, India (on-site) ​ ​ Company Description MeinDoc India Pvt. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Meindoc Germany, is an expert consulting and product development company in the Medical Devices sector. Based in Germany, MeinDoc focuses on innovative product development, while also focusing on medical device consulting, regulatory affairs and market access services for the MedTech industry. We assist clients in navigating compliance and achieving market success across the globe. About the role We are seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer with with a strong background in medical image visualization, optical imaging, and embedded software technologies. You will lead the design and integration of advanced image visualization solutions for surgical applications, combining real-time imaging, computer vision, and 3D model rendering on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware-based imaging systems and high-performance visualization software, from integrating surgical cameras and medical imaging to optimizing real-time rendering pipelines for intraoperative use. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize real-time medical visualization pipelines on NVIDIA Jetson platforms (e.g., AGX Orin, Xavier) Integrate and synchronize multiple imaging modalities (surgical microscopes, endoscopes, ultrasound, external tracking systems) into cohesive visualization environments Develop and optimize 3D rendering, image processing, and augmented reality overlays for intraoperative guidance on video feed. Implement algorithms for camera calibration, image registration, and fusion of multimodal medical data Interface directly with imaging sensors, frame grabbers, and APIs via USB, Ethernet, and GPIO Perform performance optimization using CUDA, TensorRT, JetPack, with focus on low-latency and high-fidelity rendering Conduct validation with synthetic and real surgical imaging data under clinical workflow constraints Contribute to IEC 62304 and ISO 13485-compliant documentation for imaging software modules Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in surgical visualization, and high-performance graphics Strong embedded systems skills (Jetson, JetPack SDK) Proven expertise in integrating and optimizing camera-based or optical imaging systems Proficiency in C++, Python, CUDA, Linux Solid understanding of real-time rendering, image processing, and visualization frameworks (e.g., OpenGL, VTK, ITK) Preferred (Secondary) Experience with surgical navigation or AR-based medical visualization Knowledge of optical system design and calibration Familiarity with DICOM standards and medical imaging formats Exposure to medical regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, IEC 62304). Software Engineer - Embedded Systems (NVIDIA Jetson Platform) Location: Bangalore, India (On-site) Company Description MeinDoc India Pvt. Ltd. is an expert in the Medical Devices sector. We assist clients in navigating compliance and achieving market success across the globe. About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in embedded systems, computer vision, and real-time surgical applications on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. This role involves integrating advanced imaging modalities (e.g., microscope, ultrasound) and building end-to-end solutions for intraoperative navigation in surgical fields. Key Responsibilities: · Design and optimize real-time neuro-navigation software on NVIDIA Jetson platforms (e.g., AGX Orin, Xavier) · Implement, integrate, and optimize existing computer vision, sensor fusion, and deep learning algorithms and models. · Integrate the system with intraoperative hardware such as surgical microscopes, ultrasound, and external tracking systems (e.g., optical or electromagnetic) via APIs and frame grabbers · Maintain modular architecture for calibration, data registration, and basic user interface interactions · Interface software with medical imaging and tracking hardware via USB, Ethernet, and GPIO. · Perform performance optimization using CUDA, TensorRT, JetPack, and debugging/testing with limited real surgical data · Perform unit testing, real-time debugging, and validation with synthetic and real surgical data. · Support documentation in line with IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 under supervision. Required Skills & Qualification (clear expectations): · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. · 3+ years of experience in embedded systems, preferably in a medical device or robotics environment. · Embedded systems expertise (Jetson, JetPack SDK). · Experience integrating medical imaging and tracking hardware. · Proficiency in C++, Python, CUDA, Linux. Preferred (clearly secondary): · Experience with neuro-navigation or surgical robotics. · Familiarity with medical imaging libraries (e.g., ITK/VTK). · Exposure (not expertise) to medical regulatory standards.
